Luxury wear with horrible service
Maje outsources their customer support team, I highly suspect this because the last time I called, you could hear a ton of other voices and conversation in the background. The support team would read from a script, because when I asked questions, they would repeat the same "answer" scripted for that type of question. They showed no empathy for their own mistake.
I had ordered a final sale item, and it still had the security tag on it, hence I couldn't wear it out. I tried to explain how Maje overlooked removing the tag while packing my order, and I wouldn't risk taking it off myself - I could get hurt or the clothing item would get damaged. So I contacted Maje by email...a week later no response still. I then called Maje, and they finally picked up, don't offer exchanges, plus the item was no longer available at the price I purchased (it increased). They instructed me to return it and go repurchase the item, hence I would have to pay their returns fee for their own error, and have double the money on the line and already I don't trust the service they provide so why would anyone do that? Then they suggested I wait until the refund from the return is processed, and I countered if they could reserve the item and put it on hold since the whole reason why I had to go through this was because they didn't check to remove their security tag. They didn't allow holds.
So no exchanges and now no holds allowed.
They then suggested I go visit their store (the nearest was 65 miles away from me!) to have an associate take the security tag off.
My thoughts are that while this company touts entry luxury wear, they retain the worst returns and exchanges process for their own errors. They don't have exchanges set up, their customer service team do not check any emails so when you send one it goes into a black hole, and even when calling in explaining the problem nicely, the people read from scripts and I end the call feeling more frustrated and unresolved with the issue they caused themselves.
They are damn lucky I was travelling near the store location the week after.
If you are buying from their site, I would make sure you don't engage with any returns. If they deliver items with security tags, now it is beyond your control, don't expect "luxury" when it comes to their service after delivery.
