Warning- horrible quality and service

I contacted Maje customer service after my bag broke. They kept coming up with any excuses they could find for not taking responsibility of their poor quality products. I’ve never experienced such bad service with a “quality” brand before.

I strongly discourage anyone from shopping at Maje. I will certainly never will.

Luxury wear with horrible service

Maje outsources their customer support team, I highly suspect this because the last time I called, you could hear a ton of other voices and conversation in the background. The support team would read from a script, because when I asked questions, they would repeat the same "answer" scripted for that type of question. They showed no empathy for their own mistake.

I had ordered a final sale item, and it still had the security tag on it, hence I couldn't wear it out. I tried to explain how Maje overlooked removing the tag while packing my order, and I wouldn't risk taking it off myself - I could get hurt or the clothing item would get damaged. So I contacted Maje by email...a week later no response still. I then called Maje, and they finally picked up, don't offer exchanges, plus the item was no longer available at the price I purchased (it increased). They instructed me to return it and go repurchase the item, hence I would have to pay their returns fee for their own error, and have double the money on the line and already I don't trust the service they provide so why would anyone do that? Then they suggested I wait until the refund from the return is processed, and I countered if they could reserve the item and put it on hold since the whole reason why I had to go through this was because they didn't check to remove their security tag. They didn't allow holds.

So no exchanges and now no holds allowed.

They then suggested I go visit their store (the nearest was 65 miles away from me!) to have an associate take the security tag off.

My thoughts are that while this company touts entry luxury wear, they retain the worst returns and exchanges process for their own errors. They don't have exchanges set up, their customer service team do not check any emails so when you send one it goes into a black hole, and even when calling in explaining the problem nicely, the people read from scripts and I end the call feeling more frustrated and unresolved with the issue they caused themselves.
They are damn lucky I was travelling near the store location the week after.
If you are buying from their site, I would make sure you don't engage with any returns. If they deliver items with security tags, now it is beyond your control, don't expect "luxury" when it comes to their service after delivery.

Steep price for below primark service

I have been struggling to get the refund. Called 3x customer service (now they also hang up on clients), 1x called store, went to store 2x to collect items (that store employees claimed were not there, which was wrong according to customer service), and then went to store again to try to get refund for items I never received (but their refund system is “down”). After all that they instructed 1/3 of my money to be paid back (yet another error on their part). So I guess I need to keep calling and wasting my time. For 450gbp for a dress and shorts I am beyond disappointed. While I used to love this brand, this is the last time I ever bought something from them. Disgraceful. 2-3 weeks to deliver (with a mess up), happy to take payments but need to go to the moon and back for the refund. At this point I am a very angry former client!

Convoluted and wasteful returns process

Quite fiddly, complicated return process for online purchased garments, having to fill in several customs forms for each item purchased (one guide says three forms, another one five?!) despite the fact that all garments seem to have been shipped to me from UK stores.

And very wasteful too - I ordered 4 pieces and all four came in separate parcels by separate deliveries!

If I knew how complicated and inefficient the delivery and returns process is, I would have never ordered online...

Credit note expired due to "Maje IT glitch"

Shockingly poor customer service. I bought some items a year and returned them, received a credit note. The credit note recently expired after multiple failed attempts to use it in multiple stores due to an "IT glitch". I have called and emailed too many times to mention, asked them to issue a gift note which they still cant do it, not sure why this is so complicated. Their clothes are not cheap and I am really upset as they have effectively taken my money. I used to love buying from them but I will not be buying from them ever again as they have still not resolved my issue. Be warned.

I wasn't expecting Maje to have this…

I wasn't expecting Maje to have this bad service, no empathy for customers at all, I've waited for the order for four days, and they even can't cancel the order because it's a final sale, the shop runner service also confusing since it shows"free 2days delivery and free return", I wasn't expecting this long but I couldn't cancel it, now I don't need the dress anymore.

Don’t order. IT is outsourced and not competent

My online order never left their warehouse due to a technical issue, it’s been more than 14 days, they haven’t issued my refund. According to consumer rights they have to issue a refund in 14 days.

All they can say is that IT departmen which is outsourced, investigating the issue. Noone nobody at maje can do anything apparently while this outsourced department “handles” such situations. This is unacceptable. They are holding my money and they don’t have the right to do so.

Quality dresses

I just got the delivery of my floral dress and I'm so loving it. The quality and fitting of the dress is just so perfect. I will definitely visit the site again for more lovey dresses.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service.

Parcel arrived completely open. Contents were marked and had debris fixed to fabric, which I removed with tweezers.

Contacted customer services immediately and was told I could return them but the turn around would be a while after returning/ refund and then re-ordering; time I didn’t have - I also didn’t trust the brand to send a replacement in good condition tbh.

The customer service representative advised that I send photos of the garments and after they’ve been dry cleaned - send receipt for dry cleaning bill to email address provided; so that compensation could be given.

After getting the items dry cleaned. I went on my honeymoon and advised the representative that I would send a picture of my receipt on return to UK.

I was then met with an abrupt email from someone completely different, saying I can return the items within 30 days and nothing would be covered in regards to dry cleaning. At which point I’ve already paid for dry cleaning and I’ve worn the garments. I was fobbed off with 10% off my next purchase to use on their website - like I’ll be doing that again.

Get your customer polices straight and train team on them so people don’t end up out of pocket.

horrible website UI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

horrible website UI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not user friendly at all!!!! Imagine you are paying 130 dollars for a shirt and spending entire hour to try to modify address you initially put in wrong by mistake. What a waste of time.
